If you love to regularly put luxurious motors through their paces with help from our car hire company, you are probably also salivating at the prospect of attending a range of supercar events across the country during 2016. So, what can we expect this year? Here are just some of the exciting events that we are especially eager to mark into our diaries. We’ve also, for your convenience, listed them in the order that they will occur. Just be expected to do a lot of travelling for these events – perhaps you could do that travelling in supercars hired from us at Prestige Keys?
London Motor Show, Battersea Evolution
Whatever happened to the London Motor Show? It’ll be back this year, after a lengthy hiatus. The show’s royal patron, Prince Michael of Kent, has hinted that we can expect a motor show of more traditionally large scale than the London Motor Show we have previously known, however. When first announcing the revamped show, he enthused: “It is right that London should have a motor show that ranks alongside those of Frankfurt and Geneva.” You can judge whether the show deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as these other shows when it’s here from 6-8 May.
The Supercar Event 2016, Dunsfold Park, Surrey
Taking place over the weekend of 2-3 July at Surrey’s Dunsfold Park, the home of Top Gear, this event is now in its tenth year and pledges something for everyone – you can even enjoy a supercar ride around the Top Gear track! The complete list of attractions has yet to be revealed, but attendees of a wide range of ages should be able to find things to enjoy. Also, coming along to this event will mean supporting The Children’s Trust, which caters for children with brain injury.
Supercar Showdown, National Motor Museum, Beaulieu
The National Motor Museum has pencilled in this annual display of beautiful motors for 21 August. From 10am until 6pm on that Sunday, you will be able to see luxurious, gorgeous supercars both in static displays and showing their horsepower on the demonstration straight. Meanwhile, the vehicle that is the most popular according to public vote will be handed a Beaulieu trophy. We’d love to go into more concrete details, but the museum is keeping the event programme under wraps for now. So, remember to regularly check the museum’s website for updates about this event.
